The Seattle Police Department is hosting an In-person Workshop and Hiring event in Tukwila, WA on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Join us for a casual open house from 10am to 2pm to learn more about the process for becoming a Seattle Police Officer.

The day will also include:

• A welcome address and remarks from Chief Barnes (10:00am – 10:30 am)
• An overview of the hiring, testing and background process
• Opportunities to interact with Specialty Units and learn more about them, including SWAT, K9, Harbor, Bombs, EMTs and more
• The Police Exams Unit will be available to assist with applications or signing up for initial testing
• The Background Unit will be available to meet with individuals who would like to discuss their background in more detail
• Opportunities to complete and/or watch the Physical Agility Test (WAPAT) or give it a try as there is no penalty for attempting it
